Yes — InstaCapture is free to download and use. HD and 4K recording, the built-in editor, and export are all included at no cost.

What devices are supported?

InstaCapture works on iPhone. AI shot planning requires a device that supports Apple Intelligence.

Does InstaCapture upload my videos to the cloud?

No. All recording, editing, and processing happens on your device. We don't operate cloud servers that store your content. See our Privacy Policy for details.

How does the AI shot planner work?

Describe your video in a sentence and InstaCapture generates a professional shot list with framing, camera movements, and technique notes. On supported devices, this uses Apple Intelligence and runs entirely on-device.

What export resolutions are available?

You can export at 480p, 720p, 1080p, or the original resolution and frame rate of your recordings.

How do I delete my recordings?

You can delete individual clips and projects directly within the app. Removing the app from your device also removes all app-specific data.
